Resultados de Elección de la Junta Directiva  de la IFLA 2007: Ellen Tise  gana Elección Presidencial IFLA (Inglés)

Ellen R. Tise, Directora de Servicios de Información y Bibliotecas de la Universidad de Stellenbosch, África del Sur, ha sido elegida Presidente por los miembros de la IFLA.

Ella comenzará su término de dos años (2007-2009) como Presidente Electo durante el congreso IFLA en Durban este agosto.  La sucederá Claudia Lux como Presidente en agosto del 2009 para un término de dos años, 2009-2011.

* Adolfo Rodríguez Gallardo (México) 812 votos - no elegido

El número total de boletas válidas recibidas para la elección de este puesto fue 467, una tasa de regreso de 38 %.  Esto representa 1772 votos, 56 % del total posible.

En los comicios para la nueva Junta Directiva de la  IFLA, los siguientes candidatos tuvieron éxito:

Gunnar Sahlin (Suecia, segundo período), Bárbara Schleihagen (Alemania), Bob McKee (Reino Unido, segundo período), Bárbara J. Ford (Estados Unidos, segundo período ), Réjean Savard (Canadá, segundo período), Danielle Mincio (Suiza), Zhang Xiaolin (China, segundo período), Helena Asamoah Hassan (Ghana), Joaquín Selgas Gutiérrez (España), Pascal Sanz (Francia). Todos ellos prestarán servicio por un término de dos años en el Consejo Administrativo, comenzando al final de la Conferencia de  Durban en agosto.

Barbara Schleihagen, Danielle Mincio, Helena Asamoah Hassan, Joaquín Selgas Gutiérrez y Pascal Sanz serán miembros de la junta por primera vez.

Ellen Tise wins IFLA Presidential election

Ellen R. Tise, Senior Director, Library and Information Services at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, has been voted President-elect by IFLA members.
She will begin her two-year term (2007-2009) as President-elect during the IFLA conference in Durban this August. She will succeded Claudia Lux as President in August 2009 for a two-year term, 2009-2011.

The full results were:

The total number of valid ballot papers received for the election for this post was 467, a return rate of 38 %.  This represents 1772 votes, 56 % of the possible total.

IFLA Governing Board election 2007-2009

In the elections for the new IFLA Governing Board, the following candidates were successful:

Gunnar Sahlin (Sweden) (2nd term), Barbara Schleihagen (Germany), Bob McKee (United Kingdom) (2nd term), Barbara J. Ford (United States) (2nd term), Réjean Savard (Canada) (2nd term), Danielle Mincio (Switzerland), Zhang Xiaolin (China) (2nd term), Helena Asamoah-Hassan (Ghana), Joaquín Selgas Gutiérrez (Spain), Pascal Sanz (France). They will serve a two-year term on the Governing Board, beginning at the end of the Durban conference in August. Barbara Schleihagen, Danielle Mincio, Helena Asamoah-Hassan, Joaquín Selgas Gutiérrez, and Pascal Sanz  will be serving on the board for the first time.
